Abstract

Genetic counseling deals with people, so that the communication of the results of a careful and accurate genetic evaluation must be decisive if the advice is to have any practical effect. Human beings cannot be reduced to scientific formulae and no amount of scientific fact will compensate for a lack of human contact.
