Abstract
Conferences come and go, and colleagues attend, present, and return from them, usually little-changed, a line added to the resume, perhaps. In June, 1989, a colleague returned from an imagery conference, specifically that of the American Association for the Study of Mental Imagery. He returned with some data and some techniques, but much more importantly he returned with a degree of personal insight rarely achieved in just a few days. His insights were connected to visual symbols, first mental and later gradually transformed into concrete forms which adorned his office artistically.
