Abstract
Application of ionic or mixed conductive glasses is without a doubt most promising in the field of microionics. The development of microsolid state energy storage devices and the design of ISFET type iono-sensitive sensors can be envisaged using thin films of glasses. Oxide and sulphide glasses used as electrolyte and cathode material, and an aluminosilicate glass which is sensitive to alkaline ions (Na+) were characterized their electrical properties examined.
