Abstract
The suggestion that erysipelas is caused by special streptococcal toxin has been substantiated. The current nature of disease suggests that it may be a hypersensitivity reaction to streptococcal products1. The aim of this work is to prove, if any, the role of Streptococcus pyogenes in the etiology of erysipelas.
