Abstract

The structure of polycrystalline materials, according to a number of publications is associated with the auto — oscillating regime of melt crystallization, as shown by Samoilivich(1979), Buevich(1988), Gus’kov(1989). Many signs of spatial periodicity, such as longtitudinal and latitudinal laminations, of distances between dendrite branches and periodical impurity distribution change, as shown by Samoilovich (1979), indicate such the regime. The probability of auto-oscillating solutions of the problem, including the equations of thermal conductivity and diffusion, as shown by Gus’kov(1989). Below is a summary of the further analysis of auto-oscillating regimes of directed crystallization. A numerical calculation of a growth decrement displayed that auto-oscillations occur at the definite values of governing parameters. At this various types of auto-waves of component concentration on a phase boundary can be observed.
