Abstract
At the 3rd IEEE Pulsed Power Conference convened in Albuquerue, New Mexico on June 1–3, 1991, J.C. Martin was presented the initial Erwin Marx Award in recognition of “two decades of consistent, yet extraordinary pioneering innovations in pulsed power technology”. From the proceedings of that conference, we reproduce both a biography and an autobiography, which more than any other comments will prepare you, the reader, for what is to follow in J.C. “Charlie” Martin’s matchless style. A photograph of the presentation is included in Chapter 2.
