Abstract
Visual callosal projections have been used extensively to study how central nervous system pathways develop normally and the ways in which development can be altered by perinatal manipulations. Given the experimental attention that has been paid to this system, it is surprising that we know relatively little about the morphological characteristics of individual visual callosal axons at any stage of either normal or altered development.
