Abstract
Environmental design professions have rediscovered visual simulation. This current wave of interest appears to be closely related to advances in computer technology. Professionals can now expect to use computer modeling techniques to capture the world around us and future changes within it. However, visual simulations of planning and design proposals have been part of professional communication since the beginning of the profession (Kostof, 1977).
