Abstract
According to Haidane [1] the low energy properties of a wide class of interacting fermion systems in one dimension are identical to the ones of the exactly soluble Luttinger model. These so—called Luttinger liquids are characterized by a power—law decay of equal time correlation functions at T = 0 with exponents that can be expressed in terms of one single model dependent parameter K ρ.
