The Gutzwiller Projector in the Large U-Hubbard Model

The Hubbard model in the large U limit is the prototype for strongly correlated electron systems. In connection with the CuO planes of the ceramic compounds its 2-D version on a square lattice is widely studied. The known properties are quite puzzling.
