In the Federal Republic of Germany, there are no regulations in the field of Radiofrequency Radiation Safety set by law. The guidelines have been worked out under the responsibility of Verband Deutscher Elektrotechniker/Association of German Electrical Engineers (VDE). Their use is wholly voluntary. But as a rule, they serve as “state of the art” and are cited in court as “anticipated expertises,” i.e., already existing ones.
