Abstract

Vitamin A is a molecule that plays an indispensable role in many biological processes. Wolbach and Howe1 were the first to describe the effect of vitamin A deficiency on the proliferation and differentiation of epithelial cells. In spite of the crucial role of this vitamin, we still do not know the exact mechanism by which it performs its biological function.
