Abstract
When Pat entered the room for her first session, she looked quite cheery. She had just come from working out at the health club, where she also worked part time while going to graduate school. Pat had been referred for psychotherapy by a physician in whom she had confided. Underneath the bubbly facade was a frightened, depressed, and angry 25-year-old.
