Abstract
Some controversy exists in regard to the so-called inhibitors of nucleation (1), Two types of nucleation inhibitors should be recognized: a) inhibitors of homogeneous nucleation; and b) inhibitors of the initial heterogeneous nucleus growth. In the present study, we examined the effect of several substances on Ca-phosphate or uric-acid heterogeneous nucleation of Ca oxalate (CaOx).
