Effects of Different Doses of Alkaline Citrate on Urine Composition and Crystallization of Calcium Oxalate

Prevention of recurrent calcium oxalate (CaOx) stone formation can usually be accomplished by correcting abnormalities in urine composition, thereby reducing the crystallization risk. Medical treatment for this purpose must continue for a considerable period of time, without disturbing side effects, and should be administered in a convenient way (1).
