Renal Oxalate Handling in Normal Subjects and Patients with Idiopathic Renal Lithiasis: Primary and Secondary Hyperoxaluria

Abstract

We have developed an assay for plasma oxalate using a modification of the immobilized enzyme, oxalate oxidase (1). This allows a direct approach to the study of the renal handling of oxalate in normal subjects and in patients with various forms of calcium-oxalate (CaOx) renal lithiasis.
