STAPP for Older Patients and Individuals with Physical Symptomatology

A recent pleasant and unexpected discovery has been the finding that STAPP seems to be an effective treatment modality for elderly patients. Because our initial observations had been on young college students, we arrived at the erroneous conclusion that older patients would be somewhat rigid and unable to utilize a technique based on activity and focalization. As our experience grew, however, we cautiously decided to offer STAPP to elderly patients and were surprised to see that they seemed to benefit greatly from this treatment and that they were in many ways indistinguishable from our younger patients.
