Abstract

Panic Disorders with and without Agoraphobia. The essential features of these disorders are recurrent panic attacks, i.e., discrete periods of intense fear or discomfort. The panic attacks usually last minutes or, more rarely, hours. They are accompanied by associated somatic symptoms, such as dyspnea, palpitations, diaphoresis, tingling, and others.
