Hormonal and Neuronal Control of Carbonic Anhydrase III Gene Expression in Skeletal Muscle

Abstract

Muscle development has been extensively investigated in terms of the pre- and postnatal changes that occur in the expression of myofibrillar proteins and isozymes. DNA probes now enable the defining of changes in mRNA levels for the various proteins and hence the profiles of gene expression.
