Abstract
In the three-dimensional space, a lot of methods have been investigated to compute skeletons1,2. All these methods are based on thinning algorithms. The process I present in this paper is a new thinning algorithm which provides a “wireframe skeleton” and a 3D medial line. The definitions are given in § II., thinning methods are presented in § III., in the § IV. the modifications to get our process are described and the results are shown. In § V. the utilizations of this “wireframe skeletons” and of the 3D medial line are commented.
