Abstract
In this chapter we come to the prime point of our topic. We have already sung the praises of data flow diagrams. We are particularly interested in them because they portray so clearly the workings of real-time systems. However, they would be useless indeed if we had no technique for translating them into programs. In this chapter we develop such a technique.
