Abstract

The Film Fund, which was established in 1977, is committed to assisting independent filmmakers, distributors, and community organizers in the production and use of films, slide shows, and videotapes as creative and educational instruments for social change. Through tax-deductible contributions from individuals and through support from foundations and the film industry, the Fund helps individual film artists and the growing number of community-based institutions that use film to give wider visibility to social issues.
