Abstract
This project trains graduate students and local professionals in effective evaluation research. The genesis of the idea came about as a result of a visit by Dr. George Weber of the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) to the Texas Christian University (TCU) campus in fall, 1975. According to Dr. Larry Adams, one of the project designers, Dr. Weber talked of the current “time of accountability” in research programs, and expressed NIMH’s interest in a project to train researchers to improve their research and evaluation skills.
