Abstract
The 12 short stories presented in Chapter 2 provide a general idea of the course of the implementation process and its varied outcomes. Before we return to the details of implementation, we should describe the school contexts (the where of implementation) and the innovations (the what). Here is a short summary of the contexts in which implementation was to take place, and of the innovations that were about to enter, or to be developed in, those contexts.
