Part of the Basic Life Sciences book series (BLSC, volume 32)

Mutagen-treated populations of Arabidopsis thaliana were screened for chlorate resistance to obtain new lines suitable for the study of nitrate metabolism and for use as markers in tissue culture studies. Plants and cultured tissues of the resistant mutant lines were characterized biochemically and physiologically.
