Frame Analysis of Plea Bargaining

  • Chapter

Abstract

Structural aspects of plea bargaining will later be examined from a conversational analysis perspective. As a prelude, a problem with this perspective must be noted. Within conversational analysis research there is a focal concern with structures of talk that are invariant to particular settings of interaction, while little analytic attention is given to those settings per se.
