Abstract
Nigeria covers an area of about 353,000 square miles and has a population of some 60,000,000. By a lot of standards, she is still sparsely populated. Furthermore, by these same standards, she can hardly be called an industrialized nation. Consequently, she cannot have many pollution problems. On the contrary, our pollution problems are numerous and the sooner we mastered them the better, otherwise we would find ourselves in the same predicament that the more highly industrialized nations now find themselves.
