Abstract
TNT (2,4,6-trinitrotoluene), a high explosive, is first among the relatively small number of chemicals produced in the U.S.A. exclusively in government-owned facilities. The production rate has varied, reaching impressive proportions at the height of the conflict in Southeast Asia.
