Surface Diffusion and Phase Transitions in Atomic Overlayers

  • Chapter
Surface Diffusion

Part of the book series: NATO ASI Series ((NSSB,volume 360))

Abstract

Experimental works focussed on correlations between surface diffusion and phase transitions in overlayers are reviewed. Diffusion mechanisms operating in various two-dimensional adsorbate phases are discussed.
