Taurine Administration Raises Plasma Taurine Levels and Affects Certain Plasma Amino Acids and Related Compounds in Rats
In spite of the interest in the pharmacology of taurine, little information is available on its absorption into the blood stream after administration to the rat. For this reason, we conducted a pharmacokinetic study on the fate of injected taurine in rat plasma for 4 h and measured its effects on a large number of plasma amino acids and related compounds.
