Abstract
In a sense this chapter begins where the previous chapter leaves off. The preceding chapter treats of quotation and awareness paragraphs towards its end. This chapter treats of interactional units—especially dialogue paragraphs which are combinations of such who-said-what-to-whom units. Indeed, without the analysis of such speech sequences the analysis of most stories would be quite incomplete.
