Abstract

In the previous chapter, we discussed search-based extensions, but what if we don’t need our users to search for something? Think of action-based extensions more in the context of a form for data input that then triggers a business process further along. Or maybe we want to present the user with a training video. We can even show a PowerApp application where the user can perform various actions. Then our search-based extension is not going to help, and that’s where action-based extensions come into the picture. In this chapter, we are only going to work with C# because, as already stated, the differences between C# and Node are so small that you can easily convert the code yourself.
