Abstract

Integrated Development Environments or IDEs are graphical desktop applications that help to both develop and test Jakarta EE applications. Several IDE products exist; in this book, we will be using the Eclipse IDE, which is free to install and use, even for commercial purposes. Installers exist for Linux, Windows, and MacOS.
