Abstract
The turbines built in earlier chapters, and indeed almost all turbines, are based on producing electrical energy. But energy can also be produced and stored in the form of compressed air. This pneumatic generator involves using the rotating shaft of the turbine rotor to drive an air pump. Instead of a battery, energy from the turbine is stored in an air tank.
