Abstract

I believe that when new employees join your team, regardless of how experienced they are and what their professional background is, helping them understand their role and the expectations from them becomes highly critical in their successful integration in the team as well as the organization. I have seen employees who have joined teams which are functioning extremely well as a unit still find it difficult to adjust, as they could end up feeling as outsiders trying to break into a very tight group. Having clarity on the role and the deliverables can help individuals create a place for themselves, which in turn helps them build their confidence to finding footing in a new environment.
