Abstract
In this chapter, we’ll begin describing a very important field of study in the world of AI: agents. Nowadays, agents represent an area of strong interest for many subfields of computer science and AI. They are being used in a great number of applications, ranging from comparatively small systems such as email filters to complex, colossal systems such as air traffic control.
