Abstract

First, a product manager is a strategist. Aside from the day-to-day decisions being made that influence the current portfolio of products, your responsibility and expectation of forecasting into the future makes you a “technology prophet”. Often, you’ll be faced with problems that seem too big to solve. Once you get past the initial stage of panic, you’ll refocus and think “there’s no way this can be broken down to manageable chunks.” Finally, as you exit the final phase of insecurity and doubt, you’ll grab a cup of coffee, focus, and get to work.
