Abstract

Salesforce is great out of the box. It has a truckload of baked-in goodies and features to hit the ground running with, and it is fairly customizable for administrators to declaratively tailor the application to the organization’s needs. As a developer, however, it is your charge to take everything to the next level and improve on the user experience, building on top of what Salesforce already provides. One of the most common complaints from users, once the hype of having a new system wears off, is that managing the data in Salesforce becomes very click-intensive (not to mention spread across many different pages, and their associated load times).
