Abstract

Frequently, iOS apps constitute the mobile endpoint of a larger system. The mobile app retrieves some data, like the weather forecast, news, or bank statements, from a remote web server using RESTful or REST architecture and then displays this data to the user. The user can change or update parts of this data locally and then transfer it to the server. The mobile client can also send requests to the web server; for instance, to execute the money transfer. In this chapter, we will learn how to implement such a mobile client using Xamarin.iOS.
