Abstract

In this chapter, we’ll look at how to use the Apple Configurator app to configure iPads automatically. We’ll start with a quick overview of what you can do with the app. We’ll get the app downloaded, installed, and configured on your Mac, and then work through the actions it enables you to take. These actions include connecting and updating iPads, organizing and sorting them, backing them up, and restoring them. You’ll see how to prepare the iPads for deployment, build configuration profiles and apply them to iPads, and create templates called blueprints and apply them to iPads.
