Abstract
In Chapter 1, we introduced the concept of S-curves. If a company finds itself too dependent on a downward sloping S-Curve, its hope for resuming growth depends on getting itself onto a new S-Curve that is just beginning to slope upwards. To accomplish that aim, companies can either build or acquire new products.
