Introducing the Incident Command System

So far, we’ve sort of skirted around the edges of what a disaster is, why you need a response, and some ideas of what a proper response may or may not entail. Now I want to start to get into some specifics. This chapter will cover a specific concept known as the Incident Command System (ICS). In this chapter, I’ll use the word incident more often than the word disaster.
