When Snapchat, the social media platform used by young people who want their posts to be temporary, bought the Scan.me company, they instantly made QR codes a lot cooler. A unique Snapchat Snapcode is associated with each user’s profile. Snapchat users can follow each other by scanning these icons, which can be printed on posters and T-shirts and added to web pages.
