Abstract

Art can be experienced and shared. It helps us understand the connection we share with each other. Since art can reach beyond the verbal, and communicate in non-verbal ways like no other medium, art can take us to emotional states of bliss, pain, joy, angst, and sadness. It can reward us with its beauty–its honesty. Art can talk to some; yet, be silent to others. When we share what we have created, we open ourselves up to honesty in hopes that others might see our creation in its pure form. Sharing gives us feedback, whether good or bad; it leads us to understand who we are as a creator, and is an essential part of the creative process.
