Abstract

Controlling the flow of the game when a user plays involves many important decisions. For example, do you want the user to navigate through the levels themselves, or do you want to force them into specific levels? Can the user retain their progress through the game or will they be forced to start over every time? Will the high score be retained by the game and shown to the next player? These and other game design decisions impact how your game is perceived by players and whether it is an easy, enjoyable experience for your game player.
