Managing Projects Using SAP Solution Manager
Often projects in an organization are managed by delivery teams with little knowledge about all the artifacts related to pre-sales or proposals. This is one of the common pitfalls in failing to meet customer expectations after the sale is over; consulting organizations are no longer interested in keeping communication with the customer intact. This can result in a failed implementation caused by a lack of communication, dedication, or effort to excel in project delivery. I have seen many organizations succeed in winning a project because of excellent sales capabilities, but then fail to deliver their promises because of a lack of communication between sales and the delivery teams, thus resulting in losing customers in the long run. Sales and delivery teams need to work hand in hand as one global team with seamless communication.
