Introduction to HANA Smart Business and the Internet of Things

  • Chapter
Beginning SAP Fiori

Abstract

HANA Smart Business apps give users the option to analyze and evaluate strategic or operational key performance indicators (KPIs) in real time and help users make the right decisions based on the data. Because SAP HANA is designed to process real-time data, it can be used in the Internet of Things. SAP HANA Cloud Platform provides the necessary tools to use this feature. The Internet of Things is the next big step toward connected devices via the Internet. This chapter shows you how to build your own UI5 application and connect it to different sensors using a Raspberry Pi, with SAP HANA as the channel between UI5 and the sensors.
