Abstract
The use of microdata (sometimes called structured data or rich snippets) is not yet fully implemented in Joomla at the time of writing. Some, however, are already hard-coded in the most important parts of Joomla, such as the actual articles and the Contacts component. Joomla 2.5, unfortunately, misses out on this, though there are alternative solutions that I will discuss.
