Abstract
As soon as you have installed Joomla, your first action will usually be to go to the Global Configuration settings. These settings are extremely important, not only for search engine optimization (SEO), but also for other areas of your configuration, such as setting the editor, e-mail settings, performance settings, cache, etc. If you optimize all the parameters in this menu, you will have a great start to building a well-optimized Joomla site in every aspect. I will first go through the fields that are important for SEO. In Chapter 18 on performance, we will change some additional settings.
