Abstract

Software engineering and web development in particular have changed quite significantly over the past few years. We now have tools at our disposal that would seem almost magical in the past. In this chapter, I am going to demonstrate some of these programs alongside tmux and the Vim text editor, to show you how you can get a more realistic and accurate development environment. I’ll also be demonstrating use of the programs Reptyr and tmux-resurrect, so you can see how they fit into your typical workflow.
